About:
- Fluent in scripting language (PHP/Bash/Python).
- Troubleshooting issues by going through the log files
- Responding quickly and intelligently to production issues
- 7+ years of experience
- Possess a strong interest in Unix Shell scripting (RHEL or Ubuntu) along with database knowledge
- Excellent communication and analytical skills are needed to maintain software and discuss issues
- Understanding of networking and related protocols.
- Familiar and comfortable with compiled languages such as Java, C++, and/or Golang
- Strong experience with Kickstart, PXE, DHCP, DNS, monitoring tools (ie: Nagios, Cacti, Graphite, etc).
- Linux package management.
- Proficiency with source control, continuous integration and testing methods.
- Working knowledge of Hadoop (HDFS, Map Reduce, HBase).
- Work directly with Amazon Web Service architects to help reproduce and resolve customer issues
- Leverage our extensive customer support experience to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve your services
- Drive projects that improve support-related processes and our customers’ technical support experience
- Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that may span multiple AWS services
